鈍邊過大或過小都是會針對焊接質量造成影響，鈍邊過小易于造成燒穿，鈍邊過大易于造成未焊透。假如接頭兩側的鈍邊同時過大或過小還相對易于處理，可以根據調節電流來控制熔深。假如由于一側鈍邊大，另一側鈍邊小，假如采用小電流，便會未焊透。假如采用大電流，便會燒穿，因而，這種情況特別在單面焊雙面成型的焊接工作中應引起足夠的重視。
